Pastor Chris Oyakhilome continues to lead a global prayer movement in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases across the world.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the lead pastor of Christ Embassy and founder of LoveWorld Inc., has built a Global Prayer Movement to combat the spread of Covid-19 and the economic, physical and psychological impact it has had on populations around the world.
Pastor Chris hosts a Global Day of Prayer
On Friday, June 26th through to Saturday, June 27th, Pastor Chris led the LoveWorld nation and worldwide Christian community in a Global Day of Prayer, one of many events the influential pastor has hosted in the last four months. The event drew participants across various television and internet platforms taking action to join forces and celebrate in the name of the lord.
Several senior pastors of the LoveWorld community including the esteemed Pastor Lanre Alabi, Director Church Growth International, and Pastor Emeka Eze, Zonal Director, Christ Embassy Lagos Zone 2, joined Pastor Chris during 27 hours of non-stop prayer.
Pastor Chris invited the highly esteemed Reverend Tom Amenkhienan, the esteemed Pastor TT Edun, the CEO LoveWorld inc., Pastor Deola Phillips and the esteemed Pastor Yemisi Kudehinbu, Zonal Director, Christ Embassy Lagos Virtual Zone, to share their blessings, prayers and personal reflections on God’s Word and the profound teachings of Pastor Chris.
The Global Day of Prayer featured a special 2-hour segment led by the world-renowned healing evangelist, Pastor Benny Hinn. Pastor Benny joined live from California, where he reflected on the necessity of prayer before leading a session of sincere, powerful prayers.
Participants were led in fervent prayers to uplift the Church, the Government of nations and cities, children, the health of national economies, the spread of the Gospel and for the salvation of souls around the world. Pastor Chris used numerous scriptures to emphasize the need for Christians to place their strength in the Lord and the power of his might.
LoveWorld’s most talented music ministers including Eben, Sinach, Chris Shalom, and others raised their voices in exhilarating song to elevate and strengthen the prayer movement.
Pastor Chris stated the purpose of the unique event, explaining to participants that prayer is God’s idea not man’s. God calls on believers to pray because He intends to answer. Reading from John 18:36, Pastor Chris explained that God’s Kingdom is not of this world, therefore, Christians must resort to prayers and not the use of physical weapons in fighting for a righteous course.
