With the number of suicide case rising in Nigeria, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has sent a message to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Recall that Naija News reported that a music minister in the Redeem Christain Church of God, Michael Arowosaiye committed suicide last week.
A report had it that Michael had taken his life after he had difficulty in paying his house rent.
Just this morning it was also reported that a medical student committed suicide after he failed his examination.
Omokri in his reaction called on President Buhari to set up a National Suicide Prevention Team, ban the sales of Sniper and also address Nigerians.
Omokri who took to his Twitter account wrote, “Dear President @MBuhari, SUICIDE is at epidemic levels.”
“I urge you to set up a National Suicide Prevention Team. Ban sales of SNIPER and similar substances.”
“But most importantly, address the nation and give hope to the hopeless. God bless you.”
