Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, will today (Monday) hold an emergency meeting of the national economic council.
According to information gathered, the aim of the meeting is to address the looting of food items, properties and other crisis across states in the country.
The looting of warehouses has seen various state governments declare curfew to curb the break down of law and order.
The NEC is a meeting of vice-president and state governors, with a focus on economic and political matters.
However, security chiefs have been invited to take part in the Monday meeting which will take place in the afternoon.
Those invited include: police inspector-general, national security adviser, director-general of the State Security Service, the chief of defence staff and the commandant-general of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
