Unknown gunmen on Friday, December 25, 2020, abducted the Kaduna State Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Apostle Emmanuel Egoh Bako and his wife, Mrs. Cindy Bako.
Apostle Emmanuel Egoh Bako is also the Secretary, Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association (SKCLA).
Naija News understands that the couple were kidnapped at their residence in Albarka Camp, Fadan Kagoma, near Kafanchan in Jema’a Local Government Area.
Confirming the incident to DailyPost, the state chairman of CAN, Rev. John Joseph Hayab, said the Christmas celebration came and went with sad dust of abduction of a religious leader with his wife.
According to Hayab, the Church has had enough of relentless kidnapping of its members and ransoms being paid before getting their freedom.
He described Apostle Bako as a very strong member of Jema’a network, a father to many, a front runner of peace, justice and unity in Southern Kaduna, calling on security agencies to help ensure their release from their abductors.
In other news, the Lagos State government has obliged intending couples to seek permission from the state government before organizing the 300-member wedding ceremony.
The new measure is contained in a statement issued by the government last Friday titled “Stay At Home”.
“Weddings and public gatherings, should not exceed 300 people after obtaining permission from the Lagos State Safety Commission,” according to a statement.
Lagos State Safety Commission chairman Lanre Mojola told Punch that the application was free, and persons planning to wed can visit the commission’s website to register.
He added that security forces would go to the venues to ensure that the rules of self-protection against COVID-19 infection were followed.
