1. #EndSARS: Buhari’s Aides Feed Him Lies With ‘NAFDAC Number’ – Father Mbaka

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to apologize to Nigerians, particularly the youths on behalf of his administration and past administrations in the country.

This is as the clergy submitted that bad leadership is responsible for the current predicament in which the country has found itself.

Father Mbaka who made the submission while speaking on a message, entitled “Impure Heart” during the 2020 All Saints Day Holy Mass at Adoration ground noted that the recent #EndSARS protests, as well as other forms of agitation and unrest by Nigerian youths, is as a result of the failure by past and present governments to address the developmental needs of its people.

He added that there is no way the people will continue to keep quiet amidst various forms and versions of bad leadership they’ve been experiencing for many years.

Mbaka noted that President Buhari had the opportunity to correct some of the wrongs but also failed to live up to expectation, adding that the President is been fed wrong information by sycophants who have his ears.

2. EFCC Confirms Questioning Former FIRS Chairman, Babatunde Fowler

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday confirmed questioning Mr Babatunde Fowler, former Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

The invitation of Fowler was confirmed in an SMS to newsmen on Monday by Mr Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC spokesman.

3. Civil Servants Storm HoS Office Over Unpaid Salaries

Civil servants on Monday stormed the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation over their unpaid salaries.

The aggrieved workers are protesting over unpaid salaries spanning two to three months.

Naija News reports that the civil servants accused the government of failing to pay their outstanding salaries.

4. Buhari’s CoS, Northern Govs, IGP Adamu, SGF, Others Meet In Kaduna

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha and Governors from the 19 Northern States on Monday met in Kaduna for a meeting.

Naija News reports that the meeting which was held a the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House also had in attendance the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, members of the National Assembly from the region led by Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, amongst others.

5. COVID-19: Buhari Govt Gives N5bn Bailout Fund To Aviation Sector

Senator Hadi Sirika, the Minister of Aviation, has announced that the federal government would be giving out N5bn bailout it approved for the operators of the Aviation sector.

He made this known on Monday at the opening of a three-day public hearing on the six executive bills meant to reorganize the civil aviation agencies in the country.

6. 2020 WAEC Result Is Out

The West African Examination Council(WAEC) has released the results of the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) conducted earlier this year.

Naija News reports that WAEC released the 2020 WAEC result on Monday, November 2, 2020, at exactly 10:30 am as stated in a statement that was released on the Council’s official Twitter handle yesterday.

7. Pastor Adeboye Takes Side On Social Media Regulation

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye, has described as laughable the move by the Nigerian government to adopt China’s method in dealing with the issue of social media use in the country.

The respected clergyman while speaking at his Church’s headquarters on Sunday on a message titled “Better days ahead”, through the Assistant General Overseer (Admin. & Personnel), Pastor Johnson Odesola, noted that China’s regulation would not work here in Nigeria, noting that the variables are different in totality.

8. NECO Announces Date To Resume 2020 SSCE

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced a fresh date for the resumption of the suspended 2020 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).

NECO in a statement on Monday by its spokesperson, Azeez Sani disclosed that the suspended exams will be restarting across the federation by Monday, November 9.

9. Seven Nigerians Who Took Part In #EndSARS Protest In Egypt Face Deportation

Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa has stated that some Nigerians who took part in the #EndSARS protest in Egypt are facing deportation, from the country.

On October 18, while the protest was still ongoing in Nigeria, some Nigerian, living in Egypt who protested in diaspora, were arrested for holding a protest in front of the Nigerian High Commission in Cairo without a permit.

10. FG Reveals Those Responsible For Persistent ASUU Strikes

Previous Nigerian governments are to blame for the persistent industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu has claimed.

Adamu Adamu stated this while answering a question asked him by a Corp Member on the persistent ASUU strike, during a Town Hall meeting on security issues tagged ‘Engaging the Youth and Communities’ at the Multi-Purpose Indoor Sports Hall Complex Bauchi on Monday.
