Sanwo-Olu Gives Update on Reopening of Churches, Mosques In Lagos

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has stated that Churches, Mosques and other religious centres will remain closed until further notice to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).

Sanwo-Olu made this known on Friday at his daily briefing at Alausa, Ikeja, the state capital.

According to the Lagos governor, restrictions on mass gathering will remain enforced in the state.

Sanwo-Olu added that all social and events centres will also remain closed.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State government has reopened schools in the state for students in transitional classes.

The state Governor revealed this development on Friday during a press briefing.

He said that “Only students in transitional classes (Basic Six, JSS 3 and SS3) are permitted to resume from Monday, 3rd of August, 2020. It applies only to day schooling.”
