Rotarian Jumoke Bamigboye, District coordinator has noted highlighted some of the benefits of COVID-19 in Nigeria, despite the negative aspects.

According to her, the pandemic has exposed the bad situation in which the health sector is.

She noted that Nigeria is now giving the health sector rapt attention, as Nigerians have now resorted to taking treatments in the country, rather than travelling abroad.

Bamigboye said this during Rotary Club of Abuja Gwarinpa project commissioning and COVID-19 awareness campaign.

According to her, the pandemic has changed the cost of living for all Nigerians.

She showed her surprise at some people’s beliefs that COVID-19 isn’t in Nigeria.

She noted that it is better to prevent the disease than to be looking for cure.

She, however, warned that “it is better for us to be safe.”

Bamigboye said the pandemic has opened opportunities for people to make money in Nigeria noting that some artisans are now engaged in the production of soap, hand sanitizers, hand washing machines and other protective equipment.
