1. Kwankwaso Asks Supreme Court To Review Kano Gov’ship Election Ruling
Former Senator and Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has urged the Supreme Court to review its ruling on the Kano State Governorship election.
Naija News reports that the Supreme Court had affirmed the election of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje as the duly elected governor of Kano State.
2. Nnamdi Kanu Blasts Buhari After Reports Of Clash Between Kyari And Mongono
The leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has stated that the clash between Maj. Gen Babagana Monguno (rtd) and Abba Kyari is a confirmation that President Muhammadu Buhari is not in charge of his government.
Kanu added that the incident between the two highly placed government officials further confirms that Buhari is being impersonated in Aso Rock by a Sudanese Jibril.
3. Bayelsa State House Of Assembly Speaker Steps Down
Following the installation of Duoye Diri as the duly elected Governor of Bayelsa State, reports received by this medium on Wednesday confirms that the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Monday Bubou-Obolo, has given way for a newly appointed person to take over.
It could be recalled that Senator Douye Diri, was recently issued a certificate of return as the newly enthroned Governor of Bayelsa after the Supreme Court sacked David Lyon a few hours to his swearing-in.
4. Court Grants Release Of Dasuki’s International Passport
The Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja has granted the appeal of the country’s former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki by approving the return of his International Passport.
Naija News learnt that Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf of the Federal Capital Territory High Court who gave the directive on Wednesday asked the registrar of the court to release the document to Dasuki through his counsel.
5. President Buhari Appoints New NDDC Acting MD, Enlarges Committee
President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei as the new Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Naija News reports that Pondei will be taking over from Barr Joy Nunieh as Acting Managing Director of the commission following the reshuffling of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the NDDC.
6. Government Urges Calm As Lassa Fever Hits Lagos State
Lagos State has recorded a case of the Lassa Hemorrhagic fever which has been reported to be raging in over 19 States in the country.
Commissioner for Health Prof, Akin Abayomi who disclosed this today confirmed that the patient is currently in isolation at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
7. Wike Rejects BVN Requirement For E-Passport
Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has berated the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) for stipulating Bank Verification Number (BVN) as a primary requirement for obtaining the new e-passport.
Naija News learnt that Wike made his remarks at the roll-out of the enhanced international e-passport in Port Harcourt.

The Oluwo of Iwo in Osun state, Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has stated that he is fighting corruption the traditional way.
This, the king said in reactions to the reports of his encounter with Dhikrulahi Akinropo, agbowu of Ogbaagba, during a peace meeting in the state.
9. Fuel Stations Shut Down In Rivers
The arrest of some tanker drivers and seizure of their vehicles have led to the shutting down of petrol stations in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
It was gathered that since Tuesday night the filling stations stopped dispensing fuel to motorists and other consumers. This is following the seizure of another tanker by the State Task Force on illegal parking.
10. Escaped Female Kidnapper Re-arrested In Kano
38-year-old lady, Mercy Paul, who was about four months ago arrested for the alleged kidnap of nine teenagers in Kano and selling them to her buyers in Onitsha, Anambra State has been re-arrested a few weeks after her escape from custody.
Naija News had reported in October 2019 that Mercy was arrested alongside one Paul Owne, 37-year-old, Emmanuel Igwe, 34, Ebere Ogbodo, 45, Louis Duru, 30, and Monica Oracha, 50 while attempting to move one of their kidnapped victims, Haruna Bako to Anambra State.
