Presidency Reacts To Court Order On Sanda
A federal high court sitting in Abuja on Monday, 27th January 2020, convicted Maryam Sanda of murder in the death of her husband, Bilyamin Bello.
The police had dragged Sanda to court on a two-count charge of culpable homicide and she was found guilty on Monday after about 2 years of legal battle.
As reactions continue to trail the death sentence handed out by the court on Sanda, Bashir Ahmad, a special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on new media has reacted.
In his reaction, he empathized with Sanda’s daughter especially, noting that it would be hard for her to know that her mother killed her father and the court sentenced her to death.
He also prayed for Allah to strengthen the family of the couples.
“I feel so sorry and sad for Maryam Sanda’s daughter, growing up to understand such devastating incidences will not going to be easy. May Allah give her the strength and be with her. Thoughts and prayers have been with Bilyaminu and Maryam’s families. May Allah comfort them,” he tweeted.
