Niger State Government, under Governor Abubakar Sani Bello administration, has given out a sum of N24 billion for the construction of Minna-Bida road.
Naija News understands that Governor Bello who is now running his second term in office has awarded the contract for the reconstruction of Minna-Kateregi-Bida road which has been dilapidated for a while now.
Details of the contract were given below;
Contractor: Dantata and Sowoe Nig Ltd.
Contract sum: N24, 339,917, 789.85
Contract Duration: 18 Months.
Distance: 84Km.
This media platform understands that virtually all federal roads in Niger State is presently dilapidated. This includes the Lagos-Kaduna road which follows through to Kwara State, among others.
However, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has at this time included the construction and fixing of old roads in the state for the smooth movement of vehicles.
Also, the state government announced that the following roads will be constructed in the state.
1. Dualisation of Tunga roundabout to Shiroro Junction
2. Construction of two-lane single carriage off Imani Clinic-Industrial layout
3. Construction of Kontagora Bye-Pass road.
