Sowore: Senate Issues Fresh Directive To Falana, DSS, Others

The Nigeria Senate on Thursday directed the Department of State Services (DSS), AGF Abubakar Malami and counsel to Omoyele Sowore, Femi Falana (SAN) to submit their testimonies.

Naija News reports that others directed to submit testimonies are the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Tony Ojukwu Esq, Chief Judge of the Federal High Court and the presiding Judge at the time of the court invasion, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu.

Interpol Arrests Adoke As He Arrives Abuja

Nigeria’s former attorney-general and minister of justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke has been picked up on arrival at the Abuja International Airport by Interpol officials.

Governors’ Forum Speaks On States Paying Less Than N30,000 Minimum Wage

The 36 State Governors in Nigeria, under the aegis of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), have said that they would negotiate independently on the consequential implications of N30,000 minimum wage.

Naija News reports that the chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, made this known on Wednesday night, December 18, while fielding questions from journalists after a meeting at their Secretariat in Abuja.

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has revealed that 35 civil society organisations (CSOs) have asked him to dethrone Muhammad Sanusi II, Emir of Kano if he fails to submit to the state’s authority.

Yahaya Bello Dissolves Entire Kogi State Cabinet, Keeps SSG

The governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello on Wednesday, dissolved his cabinet.

The Governor in his order said the dissolution takes immediate effect and directed all affected cabinet members to hand over to the most senior officers in their various ministries.
