Atiku Vs Buhari: Election Tribunal Fixes Date To Hear Fresh Motion

The Presidential Elections Petitions Tribunal has fixed July 1st, 2019, to hear a fresh motion by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

This is following a request by a lawyer to Atiku and the PDP, Chris Uche (SAN) for an adjournment to enable his clients to react to the responses filed against a fresh motion by Atiku and the PDP.

Lai Mohammed Fails To Appear In Court Over N2.5bn DSO Project

Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, on Wednesday, failed to appear before the judge of the Federal High Court Abuja, Justice Folashade Giwa to answer to explain his role in the alleged approval of N2.5billion to Pinnacle Communications Ltd.

Naija News learnt that the money was for the purpose of the Federal Government Digital Switch Over (DSO) project.

EFCC Drops All Charges Against Okupe, See Why

A 59-count case against former Senior Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Media, Doyin Okupe, bordering on money laundering, criminal diversion of funds to the tune of N702,000,000 has been closed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, today.

Okupe was facing prosecution by EFCC before Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja.

A civil society group known as the Civil Liberty Union has alleged harassments and threats against some members of the Supreme Court panel of Justices who are presiding over the Osun governorship Appeal.

Naija News understands that the threats are being practised by a team allegedly led by a national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the Southwest and two Governors, one of which the group claimed to have been from the South West and the other from North West.
