The Peoples Democratic Party will hold an emergency meeting today, Wednesday, to deliberate on Saturday’s governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States.
The PDP lost both elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
INEC Reveals When Certificate Of Return Would Be Presented To Lyon
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the Bayelsa State Governor-Elect, Chief David Lyon will be presented a Certificate of Return on Thursday.
Lyon defeated 44 candidates including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)‘s flag bearer, Senator Douye Diri, to emerge the winner of the polls last Saturday.

The alleged report claiming that the former President, Goodluck Jonathan has concluded plans to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress has been debunked by his media team.
Following the reported disagreement between the Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson and the former President, there have been speculations that Jonathan supported the candidate of APC, David Lyon in the November 16 governorship election and also celebrated his victory.

Kogi’s Election Was A Civil War – Dino Melaye
Senator Dino Melaye, the lawmaker representing Kogi west senatorial district, has described as a civil war, the senatorial rerun and gubernatorial elections held on Saturday, November 16th in Kogi state.
The lawmaker said so while disclosing that 16 lives were lost during the election.
