1. Shittes: IMN Condemn Court Over Refusal To Release El-Zakzaky, Wife
Following the denial of the Kaduna State High Court to release Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky from detention, on Thursday, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, also known as Shiites, has stated that its leader is on the verge of going blind and may also lose his life if not allowed to go for medical treatment.
The group in a statement signed by the Chairman, Free Zakzaky Campaign Committee, Abdurrahman Abubakar Yola, condemned the court for allegedly “failing to stand for truth and justice against tyranny and impunity.”
2. Atiku vs Buhari: INEC Produces Document Requested By PDP At Tribunal
Some of the documents requested by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, have been made available by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal had on Wednesday, mandated INEC to make the documents available to the petitioners latest by Thursday noon, Naija News recalls.

Former Chelsea star and Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi has announced his retirement from international football with the Nigerian team.

Yet-to-be identified gunmen have killed two soldiers and abducted an expatriate in the Ukanafun local government area of Akwa Ibom state.
Naija News reports that the expatriate engineer working with Al Madal construction company was inspecting the construction of Ikot Ibritam, Inen Ekeffe and Odoro Ikot to Ukanafun road on Wednesday, July 17, before he was whisked away to an unknown location.

Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has alleged that one Femi Taiwo deleted the server of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) used during the 2019 elections.
Naija News reports Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) insisted the results of the election were transmitted to a server and that he won according to the server.

The family members of Funke Olakunrin, daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, have announced burial plans for their murdered daughter.
