Former Nigerian Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan were both absent at the Eagles Square venue of the 2019 Democracy Day celebration in Abuja.

3. Buhari Renames Abuja Stadium After MKO Abiola
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday renamed the Abuja National Stadium after Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola (GCFR).
Naija News understands that henceforth the Abuja stadium will now be called the Moshood Abiola stadium.
The President made this known while delivering a speech to mark the 2019 June 12 Democracy Day celebration at the Eagles Square in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital territory.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has stated that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, was right not to accept the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari at the elections.

A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Helicopter has crashed in the process of landing in the Katsina Airport.
This was disclosed in a statement on Wednesday by Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force.
8. Severe Explosion Rocks Port Harcourt Mall
There has been an explosion at the Port Harcourt Mall in Rivers State, leaving one person dead and several others injured.
Naija News learned that the explosion happened around 5:20pm.
9. What Femi Falana Asked President Buhari To Do To Heroes Of June 12 Struggle
Nigerian human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana, has pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari not to leave out other Nigerian heros who fought for the June 12 democracy day actualization.
Mr Falana also asked the federal government to also identify other heroes of that struggle from all over the country.
10. Enyimba Win 2018/2019 NPFL Title
Enyimba FC on Wednesday defeated Akwa United 3-0 to end the NPFL Super Six Championship Playoffs with 12 points from 5 matches and claim the 2018/2019 Nigeria Professional Football League title.
