Finally, Buhari Accepts Onnoghen’s Retirement
The President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government has accepted the retirement of ex-Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen.
Onnoghen had on April 4th sent his notice of retirement to President Muhammadu Buhari following his indictment by the National Judicial Council (NJC) around the same period.
Electorates Drag President Buhari To Appeal Court
Kalu Agu, Labaran Ismail and Hassy El-Kuris, who identified themselves as electorates and taxpayers, have asked the Court of Appeal, Abuja, to determine whether President Buhari supplied false information about his educational qualification and certificates, in the Form CF001 he submitted to INEC.
They also prayed the court to determine whether the office of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, is competent to file processes to defend the allegation that President Buhari lied on oath about his qualifications.
Kano: Why Ganduje Halted Emir Sanusi’s Visit Revealed
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has cancelled the annual traditional Sallah event known as, Hawan Nassarawa, set to hold today Thursday 6th June 2019.
Naija News understands that the event is a traditional visit by Emir of Kano to the governor of the state two days after Eid as a mark of allegiance to the political authority.

An Abuja based Lawyer, Realwan Okpanachi, has opined that some All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers, violated the constitution when they rejected Sen. Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila as President of the Senate and Speaker of House Representatives.
According to him, no APC lawmaker had the right to disobey the party’s directive on its choice of who should be the president of the senate or speaker of the house of representatives.

Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II has reacted to the cancellation of Hawan Nassarawa durbar by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
The event scheduled for today (Thursday), is a traditional visit by Emir of Kano to the governor of the state two days after Eid as a mark of allegiance to the political authority.
