Buhari Accepts Onnoghen’s Retirement, Gives Fresh Directive To Acting CJN
President Muhammadu Buhari has accepted the voluntary retirement of the former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen, from service.
This was made known in a statement released to newsmen on Sunday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal will recommence hearing on the petition filed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari today, Monday.
During the sitting of the Tribunal, the justice that will replace the President of the Appeal Court, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, will also be made known.
Leah Sharibu: Saraki Donates Severance Package To Family Of Boko Haram Victims, Others
President of the Eighth Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has directed that the National Assembly Management should distribute his Severance Allowance to families of three victims of the insurgency in the North-East zone being perpetrated by Boko Haram and children of late Senators in need of financial assistance.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Yusuph Olaniyonu, and made available to Naija News on Sunday, Saraki stated that the Severance Allowance should be used to support the families of Leah Sharibu, who is being held by Boko Haram after she and other girls were abducted from Dapchi townin Yobe State, and two humanitarian workers abducted and subsequently murdered by the insurgents, Hussaini Ahmed Khoisan and Hauwa Liman.
