Osun Gov’ship Election: PDP Alleges Fresh Plot Against Senator Adeleke

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to use some policemen to detain its Osun State governorship candidate in the 2018 election, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

In a statement on Sunday by its spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP claimed that the plot was aimed at forcing Adeleke to drop his governorship ambition.

He said, “The PDP already has new information of how the APC, having seen that there is no way it can stop Adeleke at the courts, now seeks to forcefully hound him into a police station where he will be incarcerated and put out of circulation before the determination of the matters in court.

Atiku Vs Buhari: Tribunal To Give Strong Directive This Week

The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal is set to issue the notice for the pre-hearing session on the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

The tribunal will, during the pre-hearing session which the Electoral Act provides must be completed within 14 days, fix “clear dates” for the hearing of the petition.

The five-man tribunal has 180 days period from the date of filing of the petition on March 18 to hear and deliver its judgment in the case in which the petitioners said they had assembled about 400 witnesses to testify

Buhari Breaks Silence On Those Who Will Make Up His New Cabinet (Video)

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday said he has not and will not disclose yet, those who will be part of his cabinet in his second term. He made this known while speaking to newsmen upon his arrival from a 10-day private visit to the United Kingdom.

Asked by a reporter what kind of people will make his next cabinet, the President and he replied: “I won’t tell you”.

He, however, expressed readiness to settle down and swear in the new cabinet.

The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III, has urged all Muslims in Nigeria to pray for the blessings of Allah to lead Nigeria at all levels to succeed in steering the affairs of the country and also for the sustenance of peace and stability.

DSS Arrests Naked ‘Commercial Sex Workers’ In Hotels

Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Saturday arrested at least 59 ‘commercial sex workers’ comprising 43 girls and 16 men in Calabar, Cross River.

The girls were arrested at 2:15 a.m at Peace Garden Hotel and Papsi Place along Murtala Mohammed highway. According to the director of DSS in the state, Ilupeju Adebayo, the girls work for a cartel that make them swear oaths of secrecy not to abscond or divulge information about the business.
