Residents of Zamfara state on Monday cried out bitterly over the high rate of killings and kidnappings in the State.
In a statement by one of the residents who was identified as Ibrahim Dansadau, he claimed that the state has been experiencing a series of attacks by armed bandits.
“As I speak with you, citizens of Zamfara state no longer sleep with two eyes closed in every part of Zamfara state”
Dansadau stated that a few weeks ago some armed bandits and gunmen attacked communities in Dansadau.
He noted that more than seven traders were kidnapped while two other people were shot and several vehicles vandalized during the attack.
He took the opportunity to call on security operatives to stop the high rate of attack in the state.
He stated that the killings and kidnapping have force people of the state to lose confidence in the security agencies since the reoccurring attacks.
Dansadau said nobody can claim to be more powerful than the government unless the government does not want to act.
