Presidency Defends Buhari’s UK Trip
The special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, has defended the President’s private trip to the United Kingdom.
The Presidential aide, while featuring on ‘Politics Today’, a programme by Channels Television, declared that President Buhari is free to use his private trip for whatever pleases him.
Adesina further stated that those who believe the President went for a medical checkup in the UK are free to believe whatever they want.
His words, “Those who want to interpret everything, those who want to believe all things should just believe that it is a private trip. When a man goes on a private trip, he has the right to use his time the way he deems because he has the right to private time.
“So those who want to believe it’s a medical trip, they have the right to believe, if it pleases them and makes them happier”.
Recall as previously reported by Naija News, President Buhari departed the shores of Nigeria for the UK on Thursday, 25th April on what his media team tagged a ‘private visit’ and is expected back in the country on May 5.
