FA Cup: Morata Angry As Chelsea Defeats Nottingham Forest

Álvaro Morata returned to the path of the goal with a double in the victory (2-0) of Chelsea over the Nottingham Forest today in the third round of the FA Cup. He had not scored since November 29 when he scored against PAOK in the Europa League.

He scored two goals, both after assists from Hudson-Odoi, and he hardly celebrated them. He did not smile and when he was replaced he went directly to the dressing room angry. The other protagonist was Cesc Fàbregas who said goodbye to the Bridge. He was a starter and captain and could score a penalty … but Steele cleared his shot. When he was substituted in the 85th minute, the entire stadium dismissed him with a standing ovation. Cesc touched his shield and said goodbye. Monaco, as Naija News understands, could be Fabregas’ new destination.

Morata’s goals knocked down Karanka’s Forest. The latter struggled during the match against Chelsea but could not fight to qualify for the fourth round.
