Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has assured that insecurity challenges in Nigeria will be a thing of the past if the Church remain fervent in prayers.
The RCCG General Overseer who spoke on Saturday while donating some materials and hospital equipment to the University of Medical Science Teaching Hospital, Ondo State, said the return of members of his church who were kidnapped days ago in Kaduna State while on their way for evangelism, was a proof that prayer is the only alternative way to end banditry in Nigeria.
Represented by the Provincial Pastor in charge of Province 2, Ondo, Goke Aniyenoye, the respected Christian clergy affirmed that the abducted members of the church were released without paying any ransom.
Adeboye said the Church would continue to pray to ensure that the security challenges facing the country are brought to a stop.
He said “We will continue to pray, we will not relent in our prayers, and we will ensure that the banditry is ended in the county.
Speaking on the equipment donated by the church to the university teaching hospital, Adeboye was quoted saying that the gesture was part of the move by the church to complement the effort of the Ondo State Government in making quality health care available to the people of the state.
Adeboye disclosed that similar donations had been made by the church to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, as well as University of Jos Teaching Hospital, among others.
In his remark, while receiving the equipment on behalf of the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, the Chairman Medical Advisory Committe Dr. Michael Gbala, commended the Adeboye and RCCG for the gesture.
