Nigerians May Start Using Weapons In Churches, Mosques – YOWICAN

Gunmen Kidnap Four In Abuja, Demand N200m Ransom

President Muhammadu Buhari’s led government has been urged to take necessary actions with immediate effect to tackle insecurity in the nation.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (Youth Wing) while lamenting on the recent attack on Christian fellows, said citizens may resolve to bear weapons in Churches and Mosques if the insecurity issues persist.

Naija News reports that the National Chairman of YOWICAN, Belusochukwu Enwere while delivering a speech titled, ‘Kidnapped RCCG members: Nigeria on the march to Golgotha’, at the just-concluded leadership retreat held in Abuja on Sunday, March 28, said Nigerians may choose to start carrying weapons around when travelling and wherever they find themselves.

Enwere condemned the spate of kidnapping in the country, urged President Buhari and security agencies to sit up and act now or never.

Reacting to the abduction of a bus filled with Christians from the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Kaduna Province 1, who were said to be going for a prayer work in Kafanchan, the Christian leader said: “Our hearts bleed that a bus-load of Christians from RCCG from Kaduna Province 1 going for a prayer work to Kafanchan was abducted on their way. The incident of kidnapping is a case too many and has left bitter tastes in our mouths.

“The government must rise now and take responsibility of the security challenges going on in the country. How could citizens be taken away just like that without a trace?”

Meanwhile, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye, has called for prayers for the release of 8 members of its evangelism team, Trinity Sanctuary, kidnapped in Kaduna, Naija News reports.
