The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed six hundred and seventy-six (676) new cases of Coronavirus disease infection in Nigeria.
Naija News understands that the health agency confirmed the new cases of COVID-19 infection for Monday, February 1 in a post on its official Twitter handle at exactly 12:06 Am on Tuesday morning, February 2, 2021.
The newly reported cases bring the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 131,918 which includes 106,275 discharged cases and 1,607 deaths.
Below is the breakdown of the latest cases according to states with Lagos State having the highest number of cases followed by Rivers State.
