The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has lectured South-East top politicians how to go about their chase for the 2023 presidency.
The presidential aide in a statement in his recent article titled ‘Dave Umahi’s heart of Lion,” noted that the region must play a better politics to get the ‘ultimate office.’
Adesina in his article, described Ebonyi State governor, David Umahi’s defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, as that of a “lion’s heart.” He stated further that the likes of Senator Orji Kalu, Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State, Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige and Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi are pushing for the South East to produce Nigeria’s next president.
He pointed out that they; ‘the South-East must play better politics to get the ultimate office in the country. Sleeping and facing the same direction may not be the best option.
He added, “The Orji Kalus, Hope Uzodimmas, Chris Ngiges, Dave Umahis, and many others, are now shining the light, so that their people can find the way. And so let it be.”
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday maintained that former President Goodluck Jonathan will not join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan stated while speaking on a live tv interview that there is no space in the ruling party for Jonathan.
