Security operatives on Friday clashed with some protesters who stormed the National Assembly complex in Abuja demanding police reforms.
The protesters who had stormed the complex early on Friday morning seemed to have been led by a former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore.
They engraved the #EndSARS statement on the roads leading to the National Assembly complex before they were accosted by a team of security operatives.
As the security team tried to break up the protest, sudden gunshots were also heard and some of the protesters have reportedly been arrested by the policemen outside the gate of the National Assembly Complex.
Naija News gathered part of the argument by the security operatives against the action of the protesters is that Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu as part of the bail conditions granted to Sowore, ordered him not to participate in any form of protest pending the determination of the suit.
#EndSARS The Nigeria Police Force will never learn, this protest was carried out at the National Assembly in Abuja, we had been done engraving #EndSARS and leaving when they unleashed violence on peaceful protesters but these acts will not delay our freedom! #RevolutionNow pic.twitter.com/07QyPhRL6Q
