Breaking: Sanwo-Olu Shuts Schools In Lagos Over #EndSARS Protests

The Lagos State Government led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered the closure of public and private schools indefinitely in the southwest state.

Naija News reports that the closure of schools in Lagos was announced in a press statement on Monday by the state’s Head of Public Affairs, Ministry of Education, Kayode Abayomi.

#EndSARS: 10 Things Buhari Must Do To End Protest Against Bad Governance, Corruption, Police Brutality – Ikubese

Thomas Ikubese, former presidential aspirant on the platform of National Conscience Party has forwarded an open letter to President Muhammadu Buhari on how to put an end to the #EndSARS protest across states in the country.

According to Ikubese, if Buhari decides to follow the 10 things listed in the letter within the next 48 hours, youths in the country will end the protest against Police brutality and bad Governance.

The leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has commended the youths who are advocating for the reform of the Police either through #EndSARS protests or Prayer Walks nationwide for embracing peaceful approach.

CAN in a statement on Monday which was signed by its President, Rev. Dr. Samson Olasupo A. Ayokunle also made suggestions on what government has to do to resolve the crisis.

The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 foresees an escalation in the cases of COVID-19 in the country as a result of the violation and neglect of the preventive measures against the novel virus by citizens.
