Nigerians have berated President Muhammadu Buhari over the new increase in petrol pump price.
Naija News had reported earlier that the Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC) has increased petrol price to N151.56 per litre. The new petrol price was contained in a memo released by the Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC) and signed by D.O Abalaka.
The statement said; “Please be informed that a new product price adjustment has been effected on our payment platform.
“To this end, the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is now one hundred and fifty-one naira, fifty-six kobo (N151.56k) per litre.
“This takes effect from September 2, 2020,” the statement added.
Displeased with the new petrol price, Nigerians took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to attack President Buhari.
Naija News captured some of the reactions below…
I congratulate Buhari & APC supporters on the raise of Petrol price to N151.56.
These set of people are clearly exempted from the horrific policies of this regime. The increased electricity tariff won't affect them & now there's so much Rice for export in Kano.#RevolutionNow

They Doubled the Electricity Tariff and increased fuel / petrol price too.
Either ways, Nigerians must suffer.

The people who were jumping up & down in Ojota with us under GEJ when Petrol was N86 are now buying for N151 without complain. Fear will not even allow them try the things they did against Jonathan to Buhari.

March 2018, when it was time to reduce the pump price of petrol from N145/litre to N125, the "approval" was by "President Muhammadu Buhari".
Today, time to increase it from N138.62 to N151.56, the "announcement" is by "PPMC".
Smart play on avoidance of responsibility.

Petrol Pump Price has been increased to 151.56 NAIRA by Buhari in the midst of a pandemic.
Where are all the intellectual fraudster that packaged a dishonest protest in Lagos over the same issue in 2012?
Have they lost their voice? Where is #OccupyNigeria season 2? No Protests? pic.twitter.com/QoLiGudBfi

Coincidence is when the price of petrol goes up a day after the price of electricity went up in a country where they are both happily married; Question is: does the Buhari administration care? In dis pandemic, countries r bailing citizens out; we are hanging ours with taxes.

Among the promises of Buhari is that he'll reduce fuel price to 45naira per liter.
Today, petrol is being sold at the rate of N162 per liter after five years. This level of incompetency and fraud is second to none!

Or do we wait until the Petrol Pump price hits N200?

You can see that President Buhari is trying, the economy is moving fine and things are working well, money is circulating and we are enjoying it. I don't know why some people are complaining about the increase in petrol price, even the naira is doing well against the dollar.

Buhari @ Work
1) 01/9/20: Electricity Tarriff increase, from N22 to N66.
2) 02/9/20: Petrol Prices, N87 in 2015 to N151 (Depot price), Pump Price about N155/litre. @MBuhari’s Govt is BROKE, if Nigerians refuses 2 protest against these increases, he will charge you for Breathing pic.twitter.com/mQpVXI1WKa— Chidi Cali (@Chidi2chidi) September 2, 2020
"Buhari will reduce petrol to N40/L." -David-West

Buhari increased Petrol price to N151.56 & electricity tariff by 80%
He did this when countries like Ghana is reducing the effects of COVID19 on her citizens, by way of “free electricity” until 2021
Speak of the devil, this is the reason all the Sai Baba on TL have disappeared!
