Some yet to be identified gunmen reportedly killed a councillor representing ward six in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, Karma Agagowei.
Naija News gathered that Agagowei was ambushed and gun down around Opolo area of Yenagoa, the state capital while coming back from a ward congress of the Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday, August 29.
Further findings revealed that an individual who was with the deceased in a commercial tricycle at the time of the attack was also cut with machetes by the hoodlums. Naija News understands that Agagowei before his death was among 105 councillors who were elected at the local government council election held in August last year.
However, no comment as at the time of given report has been made by the Bayelsa state police command on the incident.
Meanwhile, a man has been killed by his neighbour in the Grammar School area of Ikorodu, Lagos State for accusing him of having an affair with a co-tenant’s wife, Naija News reports.
