The Presidency has issued a stern warning to a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Umar Na’Abba, not to involve the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari in his talks with security agencies.
According to the statement which was issued by the president’s Senior Special Assistant, Mallam Garba Shehu, President Buhari had no business with Na’Abba.
Naija News understands that the SSA’s statement was coming after the Department of State Services (DSS) had summoned Na’Abba over an alleged comment on Buhari, which he is expected to honour on Monday, August 17.
Shehu in his statement described the former house speaker’s comment on the president as a “publicity stunt”, noting that Buhari has no business of any kind with him.
He said, “Our findings have revealed that his invitation has nothing to do with the alleged irresponsible utterances which in any case did not catch the attention of the Presidency, or of any serious politician for that matter,”
The presidential aide added, “We advise Na’Abba to distance the Presidency from the situation he has found himself and sort himself out accordingly.”
