Hilliard Eta, the former acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, has called on aggrieved members of the party to withdraw all lawsuit against the party.
He noted that the decision is part of the sacrifices required for reconciliation in the party.
Eta, who served as the National Vice Chairman (South-South) under the Adams Oshiomhole leadership stated this while speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Thursday.
He said, “I appeal to our party members to also embark on this cause of action out of respect for the directive issued by the President and our party’s National Executive Committee. It is the right thing to do in order for us to quickly rebuild our party for optimum performance.”
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari during the last NEC meeting directed all members in the party to withdraw all cases against the party and its officers.
The President warned that there are consequences for any member of the party who fails to follow the directive.
Eta spoke against the backdrop of his recent victory at the Federal High Court, Calabar.
