1. APC Appeals Committee Takes Decision On Obaseki’s Disqualification
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Appeals Committee has affirmed the decision to disqualify Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki from the party’s governorship primaries ahead of Edo 2020 election. Naija News reports that the APC Appeals Committee led by Dr Abubakar Fari presented its report to the APC National Working Committee on Saturday, where it cited discrepancies in the dates on Obaseki’s certificate obtained from the University of Ibadan.
2. Nigeria Records 501 New Cases of COVID-19
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC on Saturday, June 13 reported five hundred and one confirmed new cases of Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria. The NCDC confirmed the new cases on Saturday night at about 11:42 pm on its verified official account on the microblogging site, Twitter. This brings the overall confirmed cases of the novel virus in Nigeria to 15682 with records of 5101 patients discharged, while 407 reportedly died.
3. Edo 2020: PDP Speaks On Giving Obaseki Automatic Ticket
The Edo state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the doors of the party is still open to Governor Godwin Obaseki to join it after being disqualified by the Prof. Jonathan Ayuba headed screening committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Naija News reports that the Chairman of the Edo State PDP, Dr Tony Aziegbemi, made this comment while speaking to journalists in Benin City, the Edo State capital on Saturday.

5. Finally, INTERPOL Breaks Silence On Hushpuppi Arrest
The International Police (INTERPOL) has revealed that it will extradite arrested Instagram celebrity, Raymond Igbalodely a.k.a. Hushpuppi, to Nigeria to face trial. Naija News recalls that Hushpuppi was arrested on account of money laundering after some cases of fraud were linked to him.
6. Aso Rock Crisis: Aisha Buhari Cries Out As Buhari’s PA Detains Her Aides
Aisha Buhari, President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, has asked the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, to release her aides from detention. SaharaReporters had disclosed that Sabiu Yusuf, a personal assistant to President Buhari, had gotten the first lady’s aides arrested after they ejected him from the Presidential Villa for not obeying with COVID-19 safety measures.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has urged Nigerians to call their state hotlines if they experience certain symptoms. In a post on its Twitter handle, NCDC listed the symptoms as loss of taste/smell, body pain, headache, diarrhoea, catarrh, etc.
8. Over 80 Health Workers Test positive To COVID-19 In Rivers
About 22 doctors and 60 other health workers have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus disease in Rivers State Government. This was announced by the Chairperson of the state’s chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Dr Obelebra Adebiyi in Port Harcourt yesterday.
9. Edo: Video Of Oshiomhole Once Hailing Obaseki’s Academic Qualification Leaked
The drama currently happening in the camp of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Edo State has become more interesting as video of the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, better known as Adams Oshiomhole surfaced on the internet hailing Governor Godwin Obaseki’s academic qualifications at a previous campaign. The video surfaced on the microblogging site, Twitter, just a few hours ago after Governor Obaseki who is an aspirant in the state’s next governorship election was ruled out of the party primaries on the grounds that his HSC and NYSC certificates are defective.

Dubai based ‘businessman’ Ramoni Igbalode popularly known as Hushpuppi became famous for showing off the most exotic lifestyle one can only dream of on social media. A few days ago he was arrested in Dubai through the support of the International Police (INTERPOL) alongside some of his accomplice.
