More Boko Haram, ISWAP Terrorists Surrender To Troops

Some fighters of the deadly terrorist groups, Boko Haram/Islamic States West Africa Province (ISWAP) have reportedly relinquished themselves to the troops of the Nigerian Army in a recent operation that saw many of them killed.

According to the report which was made available to newsmen on Friday (today) by Major-General John Enenche, the Defence Media Operations Coordinator, a number of the group have given in to the troops while some were killed during the attack.

Enenche revealed that the success was recorded as a result of sustained artillery bombardments and ground attacks by the troops of Operation Lafiya Dole, OPLD.

He said, “Troops of Army Super Camp 6, Konduga in Borno, with the Civilian Joint Task Force, killed six terrorists in an ambush operation at Lawanti River line on June 3.”

“Three fighters Mohammed Babagana, Modu Jugudun and Alhaji Usman surrendered to troops of Delta Company at Pulka in Gwoza Local Government Area on June 2.”

“They confessed to have escaped from their camp in Dabulari Village, Bama Local Government Area after a bombardment that led to the death of many,” Enenche revealed.”

Meanwhile, Naija News had reported that the Military in Nigeria has disclosed that its troops recently ambushed some Boko Haram fighters, killing six of the insurgents while others escaped with gunshot wounds.
