This has prompted a lot of reactions from Nigerians with many people calling for the people of the state to comply with the total lockdown imposed on the state by the government.
See some of their reactions:
80 in Kano. 92 in Kano. Lock Kano up and ‘swallow’ the key for 5 weeks. It’s the sensible thing to do.

80 in Kano. Even if Buhari open up Lagos and Abuja, they should lock up Kano and keep the keys in Aso Rock for now. Because the stories from Kano is really shocking and disappointing. #COVID19

There are 92 in Kano and no one recovers yet talkless of being discharged, meanwhile the state Governor rejected a Hospital donated by the Former Governor of Kano state to serve as an isolation center, do the Government intends to rescue the victims or play politics with them?

Just Thinking Loud: May be Kano people think this is an election?
Today: 92 in Kano, 36 in FCT, 30 in Lagos, 16 in Gombe, 10 in Bauchi.
Cumulative: 1006 in Lagos, 311 in Kano and 214 in FCT.I think it’s time to start considering a total #LockDownNigeria.

Meanwhile, Naija News recalls President Muhammadu Buhari during his nationwide address on Monday, ordered a total lockdown of the state for the next two weeks.
However, Abdullahi Ganduje, the Kano State Governor recently appealed to the President to relax the lockdown so as to mitigate the economic hardship.
According to him, Kano state people were running out of food, especially during the fasting period.
He added that easing the lockdown will enable them restock their homes.
