Manchester United are set to make a renewed bid for Netherlands defender Matthijs De Ligt after failing with a move for the Dutchman last summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was desperate to sign the Dutchman and was prepared to sign De Ligt alongside an £80m move for Harry Maguire. De Ligt’s had a mixed campaign in Turin and has failed to replicate the form that made him the most sought after player in world football last summer.
