COVID-19: Nigeria Records 196 New Cases Of Coronavirus

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported one-hundred-and-ninety-six new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

The newest update as made available by the NCDC on their official Twitter handle makes the total confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria rises to 1728.

Meanwhile, according to an assessment established by AFP from official sources Wednesday at 3 pm, the pandemic of the new coronavirus has killed at least 224,402 people worldwide since its appearance in December in China.

COVID-19: Buhari Govt Reveals When Banks, Offices Can Open

The Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government has disclosed that bank branches in Lagos, Ogun and the FCT will be opened to customers from Monday, May 4th, 2020.

Naija News recalls that President Buhari had on Monday announced the gradual easing of the lockdown imposed on Lagos, Ogun and Abuja to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, through its National Coordinator of the task force, Sani Aliyu, revealed that banking halls would be open to customers between 8 am and 2 pm.

Sanwo-Olu Gradually Eases Lagos COVID-19 Lockdown (Full Details)

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Wednesday announced the gradual and controlled easing of the lockdown in the state.

Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a media briefing at the Lagos State Government House, Marina.

Speaking on Wednesday, Governor Sanwo-Olu said all offices, business places, open markets and stores will be allowed to open daily from 9 am till 3 pm on selected days and only 60 per cent of staff strength should report for duty.

He stated that precautionary measures must be observed including social distancing, use of face masks, regular disinfection, provide hand-washing equipment, temperature checks and 60% maximum capacity.
