WHO Speaks On 5G Spreading Coronavirus

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has denied reports that the 5G, through radio waves, spread the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).

In a statement on Friday, the global health body stated that the virus cannot travel on radio waves or mobile networks.

WHO insisted that COVID-19 is a respiratory disease which is spread through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes or speaks.

“People can also be infected by touching a contaminated surface and then their eyes, mouth or nose,” it said.

COVID-19: 17 New Cases Of Coronavirus Confirmed In Nigeria

Seventeen new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre Disease Control (NCDC).

The fresh cases were confirmed on Friday evening in a tweet by the NCDC.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria as at 9:30pm on 10th April to 305.

Ondo State Records Second Case Of Coronavirus

Ondo State, southwest Nigeria, has recorded its second case of Coronavirus.

Naija News reports that the Ondo State Commissioner for Health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, made this known in a statement on Friday, April 10.

This online news platform understands that the development is coming a week after the state recorded its index case, a military officer who had just returned from India.

Confirming the incident, the Ondo State Commissioner for Health said: “Yes I can confirm the person was discovered in Akure here. He has been on admission since yesterday (Thursday).
