1. Supreme Court Gives Final Verdict On Imo Governorship Election Dispute
The Supreme Court on Tuesday, delivered a final judgment on the 2019 Imo State governorship election dispute between the APC and PDP.
The apex court delivered its judgment after hearing arguments from all parties involved in the case instituted by the sacked Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha asking the court to review its judgment which sacked him from office and installed Hope Uzodinma of the APC.
2. Coronavirus: Lawmakers Suspend Plenary For 2 Weeks
Nigerian lawmakers have suspended their usual plenary sessions for the next two weeks over the coronavirus disease.
The House of Representatives took the decision in a resolution taken as part of the prayers of a motion moved by Mr. Josiah Idem at plenary on Tuesday, which was unanimously adopted.
3. Gunmen Kill Two People In Kano State
Some suspected gunmen have killed two people in Bagwai town in Kano State, the incident was confirmed by Kano State Police Command on Tuesday.
The spokesperson of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, who confirmed the incident during an interview with NAN noted that the gunmen attacked some shops and shot three persons on Monday night.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented thirty-four new amendments to the Electoral Act to Nigerian lawmakers for review and onward deliberation.
Naija News learnt that the Director of Legal Services at Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Oluwatoyin Babalola who confirmed the new development said there are certain shortcomings in the electoral legal framework that should be addressed through legislation.

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq, has disclosed the cause for the Federal Government’s delay in the payment of stipends to N-Power beneficiaries.
According to a statement by the minister, the monthly stipends for the N-Power beneficiaries was delayed due to some data verification issues.

The former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has reacted to the statement of the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, promising not to negotiate with bandits.
Senator Sani in his post on Facebook had noted that the El-Rufai led administration should be equipped and ready to fight against attacks if it refuses to negotiate with bandits in the state.

The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Chikwe Ihekweazu, has been quarantined for 14 days following his arrival from China.
The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, revealed this on Tuesday when he met with the senate.
