2. Lagos Coronavirus Patient Attempts To Escape, See Why

The coronavirus patient quarantined at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, attempted to escape from the facility on Friday, February 28. Naija News recalls that the Lagos coronavirus patient, an Italian, was confirmed to have the virus on Friday morning, three days after he arrived in the country. He flew in from Milan, Italy, into Lagos before heading to Ogun state where he first showed symptoms of the disease.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan as the substantive Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. The appointment was announced on Friday in a statement by the Permanent Secretary (General Services Office) in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) Olusegun Adekunle.

The Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government has revealed that the Berger/Kara Bridge section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway will be opened to motorists on Sunday, March 1. Naija News reports that this was made known on Saturday by the Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, Mr Adedamola Kuti.

Hong Kong’s agriculture, fisheries and conservation department has confirmed that a dog had tested positive to the deadly coronavirus disease. In a statement on Friday, a spokesperson of the department stated that Dogs, cats and other pets owned by confirmed coronavirus patients must now undergo a 14-day quarantine.

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), has released power prayers against the deadly Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
