President Muhammadu Buhari has spoken on the reaction of Nigerians over the outbreak of the dreaded Coronavirus disease in the country.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu revealed this in a series of tweets on his Twitter account after his visit to President Buhari at the presidential villa on Sunday.
Governor Sanwo-Olu had briefed the President on developments surrounding the outbreak of Coronavirus in Lagos State.
The president in his statement said, “Today, Governor Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State briefed me on the Coronavirus situation. I am very pleased by how diligently Nigeria is responding to the situation, at all levels of government, and from the private sector as well. I commend everyone involved.”
“Nigeria will continue to fulfil its obligations to the international community, by ensuring that we curtail the spread of the disease. The Federal Government is making available all the resources required to contain the threats.”
Recall that the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, confirmed the first case of the dreaded disease in Lagos State.
A further report revealed that an unidentified Italian man was the carrier of the disease.
