Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide (OYC) has accused Ohanaeze Ndigbo of working with the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to “overthrow” south-east Governors.
The group stated this in a statement signed by Okechukwu Isiguzoro, President General and Okwu Nnabuike, Secretary-General.
According to the OYC, violent protests would be staged at the states and Government Houses ahead of Supreme Court judgement on the Imo Governorship election.
The group stated that the protest was just a plot to remove South-East governors.
Ohanaeze Youths urged governors of the region to secure their states and deploy enough security operatives to quell any civil unrest.
“We will no longer tolerate further distraction from any Igbo leader against the South-East Governors Forum, who are working cordially with President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to attract huge projects for the zone,” the group said.
“No form of blackmail from any quarter will derail the South-East Governors. We, therefore, placed sanctions on the Igbo leaders who sponsoring verbal assault on the Governors.”
