Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has reacted to the suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, on Wednesday.

Recall that a High Court suspended the former governor of Edo State on Wednesday, ordering him to step down pending the determination of the substantive suit seeking his removal as the APC chairman.

Justice Danlami Senchi gave the ruling in an application of interlocutory injunction following his suspension as a member of the APC from Etsako ward 10 in Edo State.

The Edo State Governor in his reaction to the development declared Wednesday 4th of March 2020 as a great day for the people of the state.

Governor Obaseki stated this while speaking at the party’s rally held at Urokpota ground, Benin.

The Edo Governor noted that the court ruling would provide the needed atmosphere for peace in the State chapter.

Obaseki who said no man is God, further stated, “Today is a great day for us in the party. The Abuja High Court has just asked the national chairman of the party to step aside.”

“I believed this will further create an atmosphere for peace in the state.”

“This has further shown to us that no man is God,” he said.

In a related report, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the appointment of some new national officers.
