Solskjaer Laments Rashford Injury Ahead Of Liverpool Cracker

Solskjaer Admits Playing Rashford Was A Risk

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has admitted he took a risk that has now backfired by playing Marcus Rashford in Wednesday’s game against Wolves.

Rashford sustained an injury to his knees during the EFL clash against Wolves that is likely to keep him out of the crucial premier league game against Liverpool on Sunday.

The England international clashed with Wolves defender, Matt Doherty during their EFL replay which they won but is now set to be confined to the sidelines for some time.

Speaking on his player’s injury, Solskjaer lamented that the player might miss some games and further updates will be given after a test is carried out on the striker.

“It backfired. You have got to take them [risks] once in a while.

“He’ll be tested in the next few days – we have to see for Sunday.

“He couldn’t run. He struggled a little bit with his back and got another knock. It didn’t help,” Solskjaer told the media after the game.
