1. Border Closure: Buhari, PPPRA Differ On Nigeria’s Fuel Consumption
Nigeria’s key Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) has faulted the claims by President Muhammadu Buhari about how much of fuel the country saved by closing the border.
Naija News learnt that the president while receiving a delegation of Katsina State Elders Forum at his country home in Daura revealed that domestic fuel consumption had dropped by more than 30 percent since the closure of the border with neighboring countries, suggesting that there had been much leakage across the frontiers. He also said that his government’s directive will save the country billions of naira on import bills.
2. DSS Reveals Fresh Plot To Cause Chaos In Nigeria
The Department of State Services (DSS) on Tuesday disclosed fresh plots by some groups to destabilise Nigeria with protest and violence.
This was revealed in a statement by the spokesperson of the DSS, Peter Afunanya.
3. PDP Governor Declares Support For Buhari On Border Closure
Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, on Monday, declared total support for the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to close the nation’s land borders.
Umahi stated his position during the Central Bank Account Opening Week, at Onueke Township Stadium in the Ezza South Local Government Area of the state.
4. Biafra: Police Declare Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer Wanted
The Anambra State Police Command has declared Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lawyer to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu wanted.
The Anambra State Police Commissioner, CP John Abang declared the pro-Biafra activist lawyer wanted in Awka on Tuesday.
5. Saraki Slams EFCC As Court Orders Forfeiture Of His Houses To FG
Nigeria’s former senate president Dr. Bukola Saraki has described the order given for the forfeiture of his property in Ilorin, Kwara state capital, as an abuse of the court process and a violation of a subsisting order of the federal high court in Abuja.
A federal high court in Lagos had ordered the forfeiture of two houses of Saraki in Ilorin based on an application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
6. Gov Yahaya Bello Asks His Aides To Show Him The Result Of Election From Their Polling Units
Governor of Kogi State, Mr. Yahaya Bello has reportedly released the only conditions that he will pick his new set of political appointees that will work with him in the next four years.

7. Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Sends Message To Buhari Govt Over ‘Attack’ On Lawyer
The leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has reacted to the “attack” on his lawyer, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor in his home in Anambra by the Nigerian Police.
Naija News recalls that officers of the Nigeria Police under the Anambra State Command and some suspected members of the proscribed IPOB clashed at Ejiofor’s home in Oraifite, on Monday.
8. Sanwo-Olu Renames Onikan Stadium After Lagos Ex-Military Administrator
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has renamed the Onikan Stadium after the state first Military Administrator, Brigadier Mobolaji Olufunso Johnson (Rtd).
Sanwo-Olu made this known on Tuesday while speaking at the Day of Tribute for the late Johnson at the newly reconstructed Onikan Stadium.
9. World Bank Warns Buhari Govt Over Extreme Poverty
The World Bank has warned President Muhammadu Buhari-led government that Nigerians living in extreme poverty may increase by over 30 million in 2030.
The Bank gave the warning on Monday at its 2019 Nigeria Economic Update Report.
10. Why N-Power Beneficiaries Are Yet To Get October, November Stipends – Minister
The Minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, Sadiya Umar Farouq has explained why N-Power beneficiaries are yet to get their October and November stipends.
In her submission, the stipends are yet to be paid because those who enrolled in 2016 have not exited the N-Power programme.
