The pilot of a small pleasure craft died on Sunday when his plane crashed into a carport adjoining a house in Lanham, a suburb of Washington, Maryland.

Prince George County Fire Department spokesman Mark Brady said the plane crashed around 3:00 p.m., completely demolishing the lean-to and damaging the home. The plane and a car under the shelter both caught fire, causing damage to the house and the neighbouring house.
Under the impact, the car was even propelled into the street. A lot of debris was thrown all over the neighbouring grounds and on the road, we can see on a video posted by the authorities.
The pilot of the plane, a Grumman American AA-5A, did not survive, he died on the spot.
Fortunately, no one was in the house at the time of the crash.
