The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has said he cannot order the Department of State Services (DSS) to release Omoyele Sowore.
The AGF was reacting to a call by the counsel to Sowore, Femi Falana (SAN), asking him to order the secret police to release the activist.
APC Lifts Suspension On Akeredolu Okorocha, Others
The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Monday lifted the suspension on Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Mr Osita Okechukwu and Pastor Usani Uguru Usani.

A suit filed by a Kano based lawyer Bulama Bukarti seeking an order of the court compelling the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for allegedly receiving a kickback from a contractor, has been dismissed by a Federal High Court sitting in Kano.
Naija News reports that the Federal High Court sitting in Kano, northern Nigeria, dismissed the case on Monday afternoon, December 16 for ” lack of evidence.”
APC Dismisses Claim FIRS Financed Buhari/Osinbajo 2019 Election
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as baseless allegations that the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) sponsored the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo.
Naija News reports that the Federal Inland Revenue Services, FIRS, had nullified claims by former spokesperson of the APC, Timi Frank, that it supported the party’s political campaign with the sum of N40bn.
