According to the report, a credible source in the presidency revealed that the ‘cabal’ already has two possible replacement should Osinbajo decides to take a bow.
2. Buhari Gives Ngige New Directive Over New Minimum Wage
Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s president has directed the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige to take swift action on negotiation with the organised labour on the new N30,000 minimum wage consequential adjustment. Naija News understands that the President gave the directive on Friday, September 27 at the 2019 Nigeria Civil Service Week celebration dinner and award night held at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
3. Aisha Buhari Leaves Nigeria Over ‘Crisis In Presidency’
A report has emerged suggesting that Aisha Buhari, Nigeria’s First lady and wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, has left the country and is temporarily living in London, the United Kingdom over a purported crisis in the Presidency. The First Lady has been out of the country for about two months now, raising concerns at Aso Rock, Nigeria’s Presidential Villa, a report monitored on Daily Trust newspaper by Naija News noted.
4. Biafra: IPOB’s Nnamdi Kanu Goes Missing At UNGA74
The leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, went missing at the 74th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA74) which opened on September 17, 2019. Naija News recalls that a statement issued by IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, last week Monday, had said the IPOB leader will lead the “Biafra delegation” to the UNGA74.
5. Buhari Arrives Abuja After New York Trip (Photos)
President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria after his trip to New York where he participated in the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA. The President when asked about his plans for the future of Nigeria’s young population, had shocked many when he responded with a speech about climate change.
6. Zamfara Gov Shuts School, Suspends Staff Indefinitely
Zamfara state governor, Bello Matawalle has shut down Shattima Model Primary School, Gusau, and suspended staff of the school over the desecration of the Holy Qur’an in the school. Naija News understands that the school has also been shut pending the completion of full investigation by the state Basic Education Commission.
7. DSS Operatives Killed On Abuja-Kaduna Road
Two operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have been killed in a fatal car accident along the Abuja-Kaduna road. Naija News understands that the incident occurred during the evening hours of Friday, September 27.

The Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party‘s campaign organisation for the Kogi State governorship election, T.J. Yusuf, has urged the people of the state to vote for the PDP candidate, Musa Wada. The Kogi PDP Campaign director made this call in a statement on Friday by Head, Communications and Strategy, Musa/Aro Campaign Organisation, Faruq Adejo.
9. Carabao Cup: Liverpool Face Disqualification Ahead Of Arsenal Tie For Fielding Ineligible Player
English Premier League side, Liverpool, face being disqualified from the Carabao Cup, as the EFL has opened an investigation into the eligibility of one of the players, they fielded against MK Dons on Wednesday. Jurgen Klopp fielded a younger side when the Reds defeated MK Dons 2-0 in their third-round tie.
