Finally, FG Commence Payment Of New Minimum Wage.

The Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige, says the Junior workers in the employment of the Federal Government have started receiving the N30,000 new minimum wage

Naija News reports that the Minister of Labour made this known on Sunday in Enugu, where he noted that the payment to levels 1 to 6 commenced last month.

This online news platform understands that the claim by the Minister was corroborated by the National President of the Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU) and a member of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council, Lawrence Amaechi.

The National President of the Nigeria Civil Service Union said the junior workers received the new wage as their August salary.

Labour Confirms Commencement Of Payment Of New Minimum Wage

Lawrence Amaechi, the National President of the Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU) and member of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council, has confirmed the commencement of the new minimum wage payment to junior workers on the federal payroll.

Naija News reports that Amaechi confirmed the commencement of the new minimum wage payment to junior workers during an interview with The Nation.

During the interview, Amaechi revealed that officers on grade levels 01 to 06 got the new minimum wage as their August salary.

Why Thunder Struck Dead Fulani Herdsmen Cows – Community Leader

High Chief Wemimo Olaniran, the Sapetu of Ijare Kingdom, has disclosed that about 50 cows were struck dead by thunder because Fulani Herdsmen ignored their warnings against taking their cows to the sacred mountain of the town for grazing.

Naija News reports that cows belonging to Fulani herdsmen were struck to death by thunder and lightning in Ijare community in the Ifedore local government area of Ondo state.

It was gathered that the cows were recently moved by herdsmen into the community’s sacred groove located on the town’s mountain top when the disaster occurred.
