A breakdown of the monthly earnings of the senators of the 9th Nigerian Senate has emerged.
Naija News understands that the senators of the 9th Senate earn a whopping N29.48m monthly as legislators.
The breakdown of the senators’ earnings revealed that the legislators receive N7.45m as furniture allowance and receive N9.94m as motor vehicle allowance, which is the highest fee on the breakdown of the senators’ earnings.
According to the breakdown, senators receive N2.48m as basic salary, this is in addition to the constituency allowance of N4.97m and N1.24m as hardship allowance.

Total = N29.48m Monthly.
Meanwhile, Naija News recalls that the 9th Nigerian Senate was inaugurated June 11, 2019, with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) having the majority number of senators and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, coming behind.
On the other hand, the Young Progressive Party (YPP) is the only other party outside of the two dominant parties that resumed the 9th Senate with only one seat.
