President Muhammadu Buhari has signed three new bills into law, his Senior Special Assistant on the National Assembly (Senate), Sen. Ita Enang, has said.
Naija News reports that the President assented to the National Biosafety Management Agency (Amendment) Act, 2019, with a view to preventing any adverse effect to human health and environment in the country.
Presidency Replies PDP On State Of The Nation’s Economy
The Peoples Democratic Party’s claim that the Nigerian economy is in trouble, has been described as untrue. The claims were dismissed by the Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, in a statement.
He said “President Buhari remains the best hope for the Nigerian economy. The country needs change and this remains the person with the will and determination to deliver”.
Appeal Court Kicks Out Buhari’s Minister-Designate From House of Reps
The Court of Appeal, in Abuja, has sacked Emeka Nwajuba as a member representing Ehimembano/Ihiteuboma/Obowo Federal Constituency of Imo State at the House of Representatives.

The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the Economics and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe finances of the Governor Yahaya Bello-led administration.
This is coming after the Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba, accused Governor Bello of misappropriating Kogi State funds.
Okorocha Reveals Why Gov Ihedioha Is Fighting Him
Senator Rochas Okorocha has stated that the Governor Emeka Ihedioha-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is fighting him because of the defeat they suffered in the 2011 and 2015 general elections.
In a statement on Wednesday by his Media Aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, the former Imo State Governor stated that Ihedioha wants to destroy the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-East at all cost.
